End-of-life support & death administration · for people and animals

Hello. I’m Jess, and you don’t have to hold all of this on your own.

I keep people company through dying, and I deal with the mountain of admin that death leaves behind — the calls, the forms, the accounts, the things nobody warned you about. It works out to be a great deal of love disguised as paperwork.

How it goes

01 · Before

Getting it written down

Wishes for care and body, documents located, who holds what — and the honest conversation about what the family will disagree on. Cheaper to have now.

02 · During

Presence, and relief

Vigil hours so you can sleep, eat and shower. Someone to make the tea, field the relatives, and stay calm when the breathing changes.

03 · After

I take the admin off you

Certificates, notifications, accounts, subscriptions, the gathering, the notes. You grieve; I’ll hold the phone.

The unglamorous list

What “death admin” actually means, hour by hour. Most people don’t know it is work you can hand to somebody.

  • Paperwork
  • Advance directive and care wishes
  • Finding the will, naming the gaps
  • Death certificates — how many, for whom
  • Probate paperwork, organized for the lawyer
  • Pension, insurance and benefits notified
  • Employer, HR, final pay
  • The digital estate
  • Account inventory, handed to the executor
  • Subscriptions cancelled, one by one
  • Profiles memorialized or closed
  • Photos rescued off phones and laptops
  • Utilities, phone and internet moved
  • Mail redirected, junk mail stopped
  • People, ritual and animals
  • Who gets told, and in what order
  • Obituary and notices drafted
  • A gathering, start to finish
  • Body-care wishes honored
  • Cremation, burial, keepsakes for an animal
  • Thank-you notes, weeks later

I’m an administrator, not a lawyer, accountant or medic. I organize, chase, draft and file alongside you — and I’ll tell you plainly when something needs a lawyer, an accountant or your doctor, and help you find one.

Grief yoga & movement

Some weeks you can’t talk about it. You can still move.

YAA-certified and non-denominational — nothing you have to believe, no chanting unless you ask. Slow sessions for people carrying a recent loss: one to one at home, or groups of six. People grieving an animal are welcome; it is the same grief.

Sessions and schedule

About Jess

I’m the person who shows up and deals with things.

Certified end-of-life doula, YAA-certified movement instructor, non-denominational, unshockable. I work in person locally and remotely anywhere — a great deal of this job happens on the phone and in shared documents, which travels fine.

I came to it the ordinary way: sorting out a death in my own family and discovering that nobody tells you any of it, and that the admin arrives exactly when you have the least capacity for it.

Thirty minutes, free, and always will be. In person locally, remote anywhere.
